For years my ‘quiet time’ was really just a box to tick before the day started properly. Read a chapter, say a quick prayer, move on. It took a season of burnout to realise I was consuming Scripture the same way I consumed everything else — fast, and half-present.
These days I read less, and slower. Sometimes just a few lines, read out loud, sitting with the same verse for a whole week. It has changed the way I show up to the rest of my day, and honestly, to the rest of this blog.
